Advinia Care lawsuits naming this Venice nursing home’s corporate operator as a defendant were filed in the Sarasota County Circuit Court. One of those lawsuits seeks damages for nursing home negligence. Advinia Care at Venice is a for-profit 45-bed facility located at 950 Pinebrook Road, Venice, Florida 34285.
As of this date, Advinia Care at Venice remains on the Florida “Nursing Home Watch List.” The most recent inspection available for public review reveals that investigators with the Agency for Health Care Administration cited the nursing home’s operator with a total of nineteen (19) deficiencies last year. A deficiency represents a failure to comply with state or federal law applicable to nursing homes. Advinia Care Lawsuit Alleges Nursing Home Negligence
Two Advinia Care lawsuits filed with the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in and for Sarasota County sought damages; one of those for nursing home negligence. The negligence lawsuit details harm caused to a resident by the nursing home corporation that operates Advinia Care at Venice and its employee staff members.
The first Advinia Care at Venice lawsuit alleged that the corporation that holds the license to operate the nursing home failed to pay a nurse staff agency it contracted with. The nursing home ultimately settled with the staffing agency in December, 2024 and the case is now closed. The fact that this lawsuit had to be filed begs the question: Should you place your loved one in a nursing home that does not pay its bills?
The second lawsuit brought against Advinia Care at Venice, which remains open and pending at this time, alleges that this nursing home corporation and its employees negligently failed to protect a gentleman from harm and caused him to suffer “urinary tract infections, bowel blockage and a fractured left hip.” A trial has been scheduled to take place in 2026.
