Maris Pointe deficiencies found during inspection
Maris Pointe assisted living is a 60 bed assisted living facility located at 1200 Avenida Del Circo, Venice, Florida 34285.
Inspection resulted from change in ownership
The facility now branded as Maris Pointe and under the ownership of Eagle Senior Living was formerly owned by Brookdale Senior Living. On August 1, 2019, the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration conducted a “change of ownership” survey inspection and discovered that Maris Pointe had failed to comply with requirements under Florida law.
Resident assessment, appropriateness and supervision fell short
At the conclusion of the inspection, Florida officials cited Maris Pointe for failing to comply with requirements for ALFs set forth under Florida law pertaining to, among other things: resident health assessments, continued appropriateness for residency, resident supervision and staff training.
