The Windsor assisted living facility in Bradenton received at least one complaint during 2023 that was investigated by Florida officials with the Agency for Health Care Administration.
The Windsor is a for-profit 54-bed privately owned assisted living facility that is managed by the chain known as Legend Senior Living out of Wichita, Kansas. The facility is located at 2800 60th Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida 34207.
The Windsor Cited with Class III Deficiency
On April 27, 2023, Florida investigators conducted an inspection at this Bradenton assisted living facility. At that time, they pulled records for review that were maintained by the ALF. Those records indicated to inspectors that this Bradenton assisted living facility had failed to comply with Florida law because it “failed to provide or arrange for Staff who provide direct care to residents to receive required in-service training within 30 days of hire.” It is important to understand that most workers employed within an assisted living environment are not nurses. Most of these workers are not even certified nurse assistants or CNAs. The vast majority of these workers lack a formal education in healthcare or a healthcare related field.
