Indian Beach Nursing and Rehab Center began its operation under a new license that was issued on September 1, 2023. This nursing home is a 101-bed facility located at 1755 18th Street, Sarasota, Florida 34234. Since acquiring ownership, this nursing home has been the subject of numerous complaints in 2024 based upon a review of public records maintained on file with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
Indian Beach Nursing and Rehab Complaints Substantiated in 2024
An inspection with complaints was conducted at this nursing home during September, 2024 by AHCA. Investigators with the Agency arrived on the scene on an unannounced basis. At that time, they conducted interviews with staff and residents, reviewed records and observed conditions at the nursing home. At the conclusion of their investigation, Florida officials cited the facility for violating both state and federal law. A total of seven (7) deficiencies were issued against this Sarasota nursing home at that time. The documented non-compliance included the failure to maintain a safe, clean, comfortable homelike environment, the failure to maintain an effective pest control program, and the failure to support each resident’s right to voice grievances without discrimination or reprisal.
It also appears that complaints about this Sarasota nursing home are not limited to those made to state investigators with AHCA.
