Convivial Jacaranda Trace is a for-profit 63-bed assisted living facility located at 3600 William Penn Way, Venice, Florida 34293. The ALF was inspected by Florida officials with the Agency for Healthcare Administration during 2024; however, no violations were found at that time. Convivial Jacaranda Trace Lawsuit Alleges Negligence and Wrongful Death
The lawsuit was filed by the representative of the estate of the resident who is now deceased. The allegations blame Convivial Jacaranda Trace, LLC for allowing the resident to suffer “a preventable fall caused by Defendant’s negligence which resulted in a fractured right hip requiring surgery and his wrongful death” less than four months after he fell. The complaint states that the ALF was negligent by, among other things, failing to implement an effective service plan, failing to timely updating a fall service plan, failing to provide adequate supervision, failing to implement fall prevention measures, and failing to assess his need for a higher level of care. The lawsuit seeks damages for the resident’s wrongful death. This recently filed lawsuit remains open and the case is pending at this time.
