Grand Villa of Englewood Lawsuits Alleged Negligence
In the first lawsuit filed against the company that operates Grand Villa of Englewood, it was alleged that the staff acted negligently and as a result, a female resident “fell out of bed and sustained a head injury, suffered decline as a result of her fall and injuries, suffered from numerous traumatic wounds to her upper and lower extremities and multiple pressure ulcers (approximately 19 wounds in total)”. This legal matter was resolved between the parties and the lawsuit was dismissed.
In the second lawsuit, it was alleged that Grand Villa of Englewood’s staff violated a resident’s rights, including the right to be free from abuse and neglect, and as a result, a female resident was allowed “to fall and was undiscovered for approximately twenty (20) hours.” This second dispute has also been resolved between the parties and there are no pending cases filed against Grand Villa of Englewood at this time.
