An Arabella Garden complaint investigation, conducted together with a change in ownership inspection, brought Florida officials into this Venice assisted living facility. Arabella Garden is a for-profit 50-bed ALF located at 2745 Venice Avenue East, Venice, Florida 34292. The change in ownership of this facility occured in February, 2025. The facility was previously known as “Venice Green Village.”
Inspectors with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration found, documented and cited seven (7) violations during their visit in early September. They compiled their findings in a 27-page survey and report which details the evidence behind each failure to comply with Florida law.
Arabella Garden Complaint Investigation and Change of Ownership Inspection Reveals Multiple Violations

In the 27-page statement of deficiencies, the State of Florida details the evidence which formed the basis of each of the seven citations issued against Arabella Garden assisted living faciity. All seven of the violations were determined to be Class III deficiencies. One of these violations involved the failure to comply with resident care elopement standards. Elopement occurs when a resident undetectedly wanders away from a facility. All residents who are deemed to be at risk for elopement must at all times have identification on their person that contains important information. Investigators noted that the Regional Director they interviewed admitted that “none of the elopement risk residents were wearing ID that included their name, the facility name, address and telephone number.”
Arabella Garden was also cited during this inspection for failures relating to the assistance with self-administration of medications, medication record maintenance, medication labeling and storage and training requirements.
