Paddock Cove at Venice was cited with deficiencies during an inspection conducted by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration that occurred on September 16, 2021. The inspection occurred as a result of a change in ownership of the ALF. Paddock Cove of Venice was previously known as HarborChase of Venice. Whenever an assisted living facility changes ownership, investigators with the State of Florida must conduct an onsite inspection of the ALF to determine whether the facility is in compliance with all requirements set forth under Florida law.
Florida inspectors find multiple deficiencies at Paddock Cove
At the time of the inspection, investigators with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration cited the license-holder of the facility with multiple deficiencies. A deficiency means that the ALF has failed to meet requirements under Florida law. Paddock Cove at Venice was cited with a total of seven (7) Class III deficiencies.
The deficiencies focused on areas of non-compliance related to staffing standards, staff training, record keeping and food service and dietary standards.
