AdviniaCare at Venice employee charged with neglect, Humain Hamilton, was arrested at her place of employment by the Venice Police Department. Ms. Hamilton stands accused of neglecting an elderly resident in the memory care unit at the facility located at 950 Pinebrook Road, Venice, Florida. According to the probable cause affidavit filed by a detective with the Venice Police Department, this employee committed the criminal offense of the neglect of the elderly while on the job at the facility. The criminal case against the worker remains pending at this time.
AdviniaCare at Venice shares the same campus with an assisted living facility known as Paddock Cove at Venice. The affidavit alleges that the AdviniaCare worker neglected an elderly resident of the memory care unit at the location by leaving her in severe pain, “unable to walk, and with her brief full of urine and feces.” According to additional facts set forth, this lady had suffered multiple fractures and visible injuries and was neglected by the employee while in that condition. In addition to these allegations of neglect, the AdviniaCare at Venice employee was also accused of falsifying records. A witness is also noted to have observed the victim with “a large lump to her forehead which was already bruising with dried blood attached to it, and scratches to her neck area.” It is unclear as to whether, AdviniaCare at Venice employee charged with neglect, Humain Hamilton, remains employed at the Venice facility at this time.
