In this instance, the nursing home was cited in relation to the failure to follow procedures involving pharmacy services, failing to maintain proper controlled drug records and failing to follow required resident discharge procedures. Lawsuits Against Nursing Home Remain Open
As of February, 2024, two lawsuits against Braden River Rehabilitation Center remain open with the Manatee County Clerk of Court. One of these lawsuits was recently settled. These lawsuits alleged that the nursing home and its corporate management company were negligent in the care of residents and violated their resident rights under Florida law.
One other lawsuit against this Bradenton nursing home was filed in 2022. That lawsuit, which also alleged nursing home negligence and a violation of the Florida Resident Rights, was settled in 2023. That case is now closed. This nursing home is managed by the same company that manages a sister facility in Sarasota. That Sarasota facility is Sarasota Point Rehabilitation Center.
