
Hampton Manor of Punta Gorda complaints were received and investigated by the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Inspectors conducted an unannounced investigation following the complaints at the facility which is located at 10211 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950. Hampton Manor of Punta Gorda is a 120-bed assisted living facility that changed its ownership and / or its name on July 1, 2022. Since then, Florida officials have been in the facility on multiple occasions and have cited the owner / licensee with multiple deficiencies. A deficiency is a finding that an ALF has failed to comply with requirements set forth under Florida law. During 2023, the facility was cited with a total of six deficiencies. These violations pertained to medication assistance, medication labeling and orders, medication administration, medication records, staffing standards and emergency management planning. Hampton Manor of Punta Gorda was Fined Twice in 2023

The Agency assessed significant fines against the assisted living facility in 2023 based on administrative complaints that were brought against the alleged perpetrator limited liability company that holds the license.
The fines were sought by the Agency and based upon the alleged commission of three Class I deficient practices. Additionally, the Agency sought to recover the the cost of a survey fee. Public records on file with the State of Florida reveal that two fines were imposed. The first fine totaled $65,500.00. The second fine totaled fifteen thousand dollars. While likely not record-setting, these fines are to be considered substantial in comparison to the typical or average fines handed out by the Agency.
