Advinia Care at Venice was cited with a total of 19 violations that were discovered by investigators with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration during the most recent inspection at its Venice, Florida nursing home.
The nursing home is located at 950 Pinebrook Road, Venice, Florida 34285 and is a for-profit facility licensed for a total capacity of 45 beds. Many of the violations outlined in a nineteen page report focus on quality of care issues where the nursing home was found to be in noncompliance with both state and federal law.
The facility was cited for failing to comply with requirements to pertaining to the failure to follow physician orders, failing to adhere to the resident right to receive adequate and appropriate healthcare, failing to provide care that meets quality of care standards and failing to ensure that that the facility remains free of accident hazards, among numerous other issues.
Additionally, according to state investigators, the nursing home failed to meet the requirement to procure, store, prepare and serve food in a sanitary manner. Advinia Care Also Faces Lawsuit Alleging Negligence and Violations
On September 5, 2024, the daughter of a resident filed a lawsuit against the licensee / owner of the nursing home, Venice Rehab Center, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that the nursing home was negligent and violated the resident’s rights by, among other things, not preventing “skin breakdown, pressure ulcers and infection[.]” The Defendant has filed an answer denying the allegations in the complaint. The case remains open and pending at this time.
